NRK1 is the flagship TV channel of Norwegian public broadcaster NRK. It was the only TV channel in the country until 1992, when the private channel TV 2 was launched, and also NRK’s only TV channel before 1996, when NRK To was launched.

1996–2000
On 1 September 1996, to coincide with the launch of NRK To, the NRK TV channel was renamed to NRK1. Prior to this, the channel used a different logo in a promo to show as the number 1 (it was the same NRK logo but replaced the letter K by a vertical rectangle of the same size from the other two rectangles in the logo).
2000–2011
On 2 October 2000, NRK1 and NRK2 got updated logos featuring the new corporate logo, introduced in 1999, that was a slight modification of its predecessor from 1970. The numeral 1 or 2 was appended to it.
When NRK3 was launched in 2007, it got a similar logo.
2011–present
NRK1, NRK2 and NRK3 received new logos on 11 October 2011, with the numbers being put in a circle. A new set of idents for NRK1, featuring the blue circle in NRK1’s logo, had been introduced a few months before.
