On April 2018, the original Mad series concluded, in conditions with MAD's moving from New York to Burbank, ending 65-years of being in New York since 1952.

The original 1952 logo was revived and updated by MAD's design director, Doug Thomson, and art director, Suzy Hutchinson in June 2018, as part of a "reboot". On July 3, 2019, DC announced that Mad would stop releasing entirely original content in the fall of that year, marking the end of a 67-year era[1]. However, the 2018 logo is still using in tandem with the 1955/1966 logo in the MAD website.

Starting with reboot issue #14, the magazine started using the 1955/1966 logo in tandem with the 2018 logo. And later in reboot issue #23, the magazine started to use the red variant of the 1955/1966 logo along with the 70th anniversary logo, in conditions with the magazine's 70th anniversary celebration from DC[2].
