While the station's news branding was modified to Oklahoma's NewsChannel 4 in May 1996, the original version of the 1994 logo (sans the posessive "Oklahoma's") remained in use on its newscasts until KFOR introduced a new graphics package in May 1997; an early version of this logo, with the modified branding, was used in news promos during the interim.

KFOR temporarily revived the Oklahoma's NewsChannel 4 branding in February 2017, during the transition to the station's move to a new studio facility (located next to its longtime studio building in Northwest Oklahoma City, which has since been demolished) in August of that year, when the Oklahoma's News 4 brand was introduced.
