Föreningsbanken was a Swedish bank with its roots in a network of agricultural banks.
The banks used the phrase "jordbrukskassa" to designate themselves and soon started using a shief as a symbol. Around the late 1960s and early 1970s, the banks started transitioning to the new phrase "föreningsbank".
1974–1997[]
In 1974, the name of the bank movement officially became Föreningsbanken and they started using a gren logo with a stylised shief.[1]
The movement went through further consolidation during the 1980s, and in 1992 all activities were merged into one company called Föreningsbanken.
In 1997, Föreningsbanken merged with Sparbanken Sverige to form Föreningssparbanken. The logo for the new bank included the shief used by Föreningsbanken.
