This is the description page for all idents of Disney Channel International from 28 February 1997 until 1 September 1999.

Short Summary[]

On March 22nd, 1997, Disney Channel was launched in France; along with the launch came an on-air design package featuring idents with red and blue objects. These idents were later introduced to other Disney Channel international networks launched between 1997 and 1999. Prior to 1998, Disney Channel in the United Kingdom and Middle East had used a unique ident set before adopting the idents originating from France. This original set was focused more on the main splat logo in 2D spaces.

Description[]

The 1997 idents feature red and blue objects loosely forming the Mickey Mouse head shape. The logo was accompanied by the Disney Channel text, in which the Disney text is in Walt Disney's signature font and has a red color, and the Channel text displayed in Globe Gothic Bold Condensed and has a blue color. The music of most idents end with a three-note jingle (E-G-C).
