Comfort Inn was the last brand from its parent company to use its "sunrise" logo, as evidenced by a 2004 commercial.

This logo was introduced on November 5, 2004, becoming the now-rebranded Choice Hotels brand to keep its "sunrise" logo, but the background is blue, and the stripes around the sun are now wavy, appearing to be rising up from an ocean; the sizes of the portions of the sun have also now been reversed.

Although this logo has been replaced at most locations, it remained in use in television commercials for a time afterward.
