Launched:  April 9, 2018

On April 9, 2018, American Express unveiled a redesigned version of its 1974 logo, created by Pentagram. The radial gradient effect was permanently removed from the logo and the color was changed again. There are subtle changes regarding the typeface, with the bottom of the second A in "AMERICAN" obscuring the C instead of connecting to it and the X detaching from the second E and the P. The "R" is also modified, as well as the "S".

The icon was also changed. The "AMEX" text is now stacked, with "AM" on top of "EX" by two and put on the right side. Their new slogan is "Don't do business/live life without it".
