TV-kerho

1955–1956

On 1954, TV-kerho was founded in Helsinki University of Technology and the first wireless cable TV transmission in Finland took place on April 20, 1955. The logo seen above was used early on as a test card on 1956. TV-kerho is the forerunner of TES-TV and Tesvisio.

TES-TV

1957–1960

Tesvisio

1960–1965

Beginning in 1959, TES-TV was established as a limited company under the new name Oy Tesvisio Ab. The channel adopted a new logo, shaped like a curved black television screen.

Tamvisio

1960–1964

Tamvisio and Tesvisio were acquired in 1964 by Finnish Broadcasting Company, but incorporated to 1965 as TV-ohjelma 2. (Still, Tamvisio by consolidation and Tesvisio in 1964, Tesvisio was maintained for one year.).

TV-ohjelma 2

1965–1971

On March 7, 1965, the second channel of the Finnish Broadcasting Company named "TV-ohjelma 2" was founded. A simple text-based logo was used for the channel and it was seen in simple screen IDs up until 1971.

The nation's public broadcaster used temporary idents for both two channels with simple oval and white lines on a dark background. It was then replaced by a updated swan ident on December 23, 1965.

The logo is based on BBC2's '2' logo.

2001–2002

Alternate channel logo used between 2001–2002.[1]

2002–2012 (logo bug)

Introduced in 2002, the new text-based logo was featured alongside the channel's primary logo of its time. Since 2005, it was then used as the channel's logo bug.
