This logo was used up until the bankruptcy of ECW in 2001. It was used by WWE for their PPV, ECW One Night Stand, in 2005 and 2006.

ECW (WWE revival)[]

2006–2008[]

WWE purchased ECW’s trademarks and library in 2002. On May 25, 2006, WWE officially announced that ECW would be relaunched as a stand-alone brand, it was announced to be a third brand congruent to Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown. It premiered on June 13, 2006 on the network Sci-Fi (later known as Syfy). Prior to the show’s premiere, WWE made the decision to cancel Velocity in favor of ECW.

2008–2010[]

Began usage when all WWE shows went HD.

On February 2, 2010, the chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon announced that ECW would be canceled and replaced with a new weekly program that Vince described as “groundbreaking, original show.” The show’s final episode took place on February 16, 2010. On the episode that took place on February 9th, the new show’s name was announced to be NXT.
