Encore Westerns was launched as Westerns in September 1994, alongside True Stories & Drama, Action and Love Stories, as the last of the seven multiplex channels to be launched.

2005–present

In March 2005, Westerns was relaunched as Encore Westerns; at the same time, Encore launched a new logo and on-air look across all seven of its channels, featuring a modified starburst mark (which is rendered in different colors, depending on channel; the starburst mark in Encore Western's logo is orange), and the channel name now rendered in Helvetica Bold.
