Over the years, the title sequence has been frequently changed. The logo appears in different sizes and scale depending on the title sequence being used at the time.
The Original EastEnders title from 1985. Later in 1991 the theme music was given a slight rework to the score.
The water along the stream changed colour from baby blue to grey. In 1994 the theme music changed from the short-lived jazzy variant to a more subtle version of the original, with distinctive heartbeat-like notes being added at the start.
This was BBC's first attempt to add their logo onto the titles after 1997.
The titles were once again re-edited in 1998 with the BBC logo properly positioned on-screen.
Most notably with this revamp, the Millennium Dome was added. EastEnders later switched from a 4:3 filming ratio to 14:9, then onto 16:9.
EastEnders had a major title revamp in 2009, to make way for the arrival of BBC One HD later in 2010. EastEnders switched from Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD) on 25 December 2010. This time the logo now has shadows underneath and the water along the stream is now dark blue.
In 2012, ahead of the Olympics being held in London, EastEnders ever-so-slightly changed their logo to include the Olympic park, seen to the top left of the 'a' in the logo.
