The water along the stream changed colour from baby blue to grey. In 1994 the theme music changed from the short-lived jazzy variant to a more subtle version of the original, with distinctive heartbeat-like notes being added at the start.

Most notably with this revamp, the Millennium Dome was added. EastEnders later switched from a 4:3 filming ratio to 14:9, then onto 16:9.

EastEnders had a major title revamp in 2009, to make way for the arrival of BBC One HD later in 2010. EastEnders switched from Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD) on 25 December 2010. This time the logo now has shadows underneath and the water along the stream is now dark blue.
