On November 1, 2007, the UK version of Discovery Civilisation was relaunched as Discovery Knowledge in an attempt to broaden its scope. The UK agency Heavenly were behind the new look.[1]

On November 7, 2010, Discovery Knowledge is relaunched as Discovery History. This is an attempt take the channel's focus back to factual history programming.[2] The new look was created in-house at Discovery UK.
