In 1964, Patio Diet Cola was renamed Diet Pepsi.
The text is almost the same as the 2008 logo.
This logo is now in use for Diet Pepsi's classic sweetener blend since 2016. (Only the Diet Pepsi text is used.)
Compared to all the Diet Pepsi logos, this logo was the shortest-lived, which was in stores for just over two years.
When Pepsi started to rebrand, they used different variants of the logo to fit with the mood and flavor of the drink. For Diet Pepsi, it has a slight grin.
The grinning globe was later replaced with the regular "smiling globe".
After Pepsi decided to remove aspartame from their Diet Pepsi, long time fans went crazy. They bombarded Pepsi's social media until they got what they were after. So Pepsi released a new product called 'Diet Pepsi Classic Formula', which was just the old Diet Pepsi formula (with aspartame).
