Deutsche Bahn AG (abbreviated as DB or DB AG) is a German railway company. Headquartered in Berlin, it is a private joint-stock company (AG), with the Federal Republic of Germany being its single shareholder.
1994–present[]
The Deutsche Bahn was formed through the merger of the Deutsche Reichsbahn of East Germany and the Deutsche Bundesbahn of West Germany in 1994.
In June of 2022, Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance (which is headquartered in Germany), added Deutsche Bahn as its first intermodal (non-airline) partner.
