Caracol Televisión, also known as Caracol TV or in a simplified manner as Caracol, is a Colombian private television channel of varied programming founded on August 28, 1969 (as a programmer) and was launched as a private channel on July 10, 1998 and is owned by Caracol Medios, a division of the Valorem.

When Caracol Televisión was founded in August 1969, the logo was used the same as the Caracol Radio logo. This logo was used as a prototype logo.

1971-1983[]

Caracol Televisión introduced a new logo in 1971 under the name "Caracol Radio T.V.". It started a new logo until 1981.

Caracol Televisión introduced a new logo in 1987 with the snail shell being redesigned and the famous wordmark being introduced. The tagline was Caracol: Más Compañia. This logo was used until July 10, 1998 when the company launched its privately-owned TV channel.

Private channel[]

1998-2003 (Canal Caracol)[]

In June 1998, Caracol Televisión was converted into a private television channel and rebranded as Canal Caracol. The first logo was introduced on July 10, 1998 and the green sphere was placed in the centre of the logo.

A modification of the 1998 logo was added the blue sphere with a word "TV", who was used in programming and movies.

2003-2012[]

In June 30, 2003, after the company split from Caracol Radio after it was sold to PRISA, the channel debuted a new logo.

Changes include the word "Televisión" with orange outlines and the sphere from green to blue. This logo countinued to be as as secondary until the 2008 reband and a screen bug until the 2010 rebrand.
