Europe 2 TV
2005–2007
Europe 2 TV was launched on October 17, 2005. Its name was taken from the radio network Europe 2.
The identity was created by View. The idents centered around loudspeakers that were situated in odd places, such as in a tattooed man, a bicycle or a pair of sneakers.
Virgin 17
2008–2010
Europe 2 TV relaunched as Virgin 17 at midnight between December 31, 2007 and January 1, 2008.
The new identity was created by View.
Direct Star
2010–2012
In March 2010, Lagardère entered talks about selling Virgin 17 to Bolloré Media.[1] The deal was finalised in June. As a result of the change in ownership, Virgin 17 will change its name to Direct Star. The relaunch is scheduled for 7 p.m. on September 1, 2010.
The logo for the relaunched channel was revealed on July 27, 2010. The new logo and graphics were created by Dream On
