Aqua is a brand of mineral water, produced by PT Tirta Investama in Indonesia. It is the most popular bottled water in Indonesia. First produced in 1973, now it is owned by Danone.
Aqua was first introduced in 1973 as Puritas, means Pure Artesian Water.
In 1974, Puritas was changed its name into Aqua. In 1984, Pure Artesian Water became Mountain Spring Water. PT Golden Mississippi was the name of its company (before changing its name into PT Aqua Golden Mississippi Tbk).
This logo was introduced in 2000 when the company was acquired by Danone.
In 2004, the gradient was added into the word "AQUA" and the flowing water was changed into the mountain.
In 2005, the Danone logo was changed.
As a part of the 40th anniversary of Aqua, a slightly-modified wordmark and new mountain icon was launched on February 2013.
The Danone logo was removed at the 45th anniversary of Aqua in February 2018.
