A new wordmark for Android was introduced at the Google I/O event on June 26, 2014, being first used in Android 4.4.4 KitKat and debuting with Android Lollipop in October-November 2014. Alongside the 2015 logo, it continues to be used on Android Nougat, Oreo, and Pie after the new wordmark was introduced and is currently unused as of August-September 2019 when Google introduced the new logo with the new wordmark. This logo was used as a "Powered by Android" boot screen logo until 2017, though Xiaomi phones continued to use this logo until it was replaced with the 2019 logo later that year. As of Android 14, this logo still appears in the default boot animation when a custom animation is not specified.
