2008–2014[]
The logo was first used on Android 1.0 and continued to be used on Android Jelly Bean and KitKat after the new wordmark was introduced. In 2013, the "Powered by Android" boot screen logo was introduced, appearing in some smartphones running Android Jelly Bean and KitKat.
2014–2019[]
A new wordmark for Android was introduced at the Google I/O event on June 26, 2014, being first used in Android 4.4.4 KitKat and debuting with Android Lollipop in October-November 2014. Alongside the 2017 logo, it continues to be used on Android Nougat, Oreo, and Pie after the new wordmark was introduced and is currently unused as of August-September 2019 when Google introduced the new logo with the new wordmark. This logo was used as a "Powered by Android" boot screen logo until 2017, though Xiaomi phones continued to use this logo until it was replaced with the 2019 logo later that year.
2015–2019[]
This logo is used on the website as well as on the "Be Together. Not The Same." ad campaign and the boot screen.
2019–2023[]

This logo was introduced on August 27, 2019, along with the launch of Android 10.
2023–present[]

On September 5, 2023, Android updated its logo. The wordmark has been changed to title case, and it uses a new typeface resembling the font used for the 2014 and 2015 logos. Additionally, The Bot's[1] head is now three-dimensional.
